A Guide to Maximizing Your Staftr Experience
Notifications
Staftr is a real-time staffing platform that provides time-sensitive job offers and communications. The best way to make sure you don’t miss any job opportunities or essential communications is to verify that notifications preferences are set to what best fits your workflow and needs. Some reasons Staftr may notify you include the following:
- A new role offer has been sent to you.
- You’ve been staffed on a role.
- You’ve been removed from a role, or the role has come to an end.
- A message has been sent to you.
- A change has been made to your role.
- Additional information or documentation is required for your role.
Staftr’s goal is to make sure the staffing process is transparent, streamlined, and convenient. Notifications help us accomplish this.
You can choose how Staftr notifies you. These options include email, text messages (SMS), and mobile app push notifications. You can enable or disable any notification option by navigating to Settings.
All new Staftr accounts have email notifications enabled by default. Unless otherwise disabled by you, all Staftr notifications are sent via email to the same email address you use to log in to your Staftr. If you do not see Staftr emails, check your spam filter to verify that they are making it to your inbox.
Text message (SMS) notifications will be sent to your mobile device at the phone number you provide while creating your Staftr account. Text message notifications are not enabled by default and must be if you want to receive SMS messages from Staftr. You will need to Verify your phone number to enable SMS notifications.
- In the Notification Preferences section of the Account Settings screen, click the Verify button next to your phone number in the Text Message (SMS) section.
- An SMS message number with a verification code will be sent to your mobile device. Enter the code into the Verification Code field and click the Verify button.
Note: Not all Staftr notifications are sent via SMS. Just the most pertinent ones (offer received, message received, etc.)
Push notifications are delivered to your mobile device via the Staftr mobile app. You will need the Staftr mobile app installed to take advantage of these notifications. The Staftr app is available for download for iOS and Android. Once push notifications are enabled, you will receive real-time notifications on your mobile device. Push notifications are the best way to interact with Staftr, as you can take action on new job offers and messages as soon as you receive them.
Skills and Experience
The Skills and Experience section of your Staftr profile allows you to highlight skills not covered during your initial profile creation. Some projects staffed by Staftr require specific skills selected in this section. You will only be eligible to receive these offers if you have added them on your profile.

You can customize your profile with a list of your skills and experiences. Should you be selected for a project that demands certain qualifications, additional verification of these skills might be required.
Education information will likely be added while initially creating your Staftr account. You can also add or change education information after your account is created.
To add new education information, navigate to the Education section of your Profile. You can then click the Add a School button and fill in the necessary education information. Required fields for Education submission are:
- School Name
- Start and End Years
- Degree
- Major
Notes:
- When entering your School Name, you can search for your school using keywords. Most accredited US universities will be available via search. If your school is not displayed in the search results dropdown, you can enter the full name manually.
- If your specific major does not appear in the dropdown list, please select the most similar degree that does appear.
The Staftr Verification Team will verify all the educational information you enter. It can usually take 12-48 hours for the verification to be complete. Once the verification has been completed, you will no longer be able to edit or make changes to the degree.
If your degree is listed as unverified or in progress, there may be a delay in the verification process. If your degree remains unverified and has been in progress for over a week, and you believe this is an error, please verify that your education information, name, and personal information are correct. Contact Information / Search Markets
The Contact Information section of your profile is where you will enter basic contact and address information as well as your Search Market preferences.
The following contact information is required:
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Phone Number
- Search Markets
Staftr Search Markets are geographic regions a Staftr partner can select to send offers within. Search Markets are designed to cover larger areas than just a city or zip code, allowing Staftr users to select where they receive offers. You can select as many Search Markets as you deem necessary.
The Remote Search Market is also included in the Search Market list. This Market is used by Staftr partners who are staffing cloud-based or remote projects. These types of projects can usually be worked on from any location.
If you want to keep your Staftr profile but do not want to or cannot accept projects, you can also deselect all active Search Markets and select only Inactive. You will not receive any offers, while Inactive is the only selected search market. You will need to deselect Inactive and select other Search Markets before you can begin to receive offers again.
Staftr uses personal information like date of birth and social security number to verify your education and credentials. This information may also be used to perform a background check when you accept and start a new job. Background checks are not performed before offer acceptance.
All personally identifiable information (PII) is securely stored and encrypted using industry-standard or better techniques.
Staftr requires that you enter your date of birth (DOB), social security number (SSN), and citizenship status when you initially create your account. After your account has been created, you will not be able to edit DOB or SSN information. If either of these fields need to be updated, please contact us. You can change your citizenship status from the Personal Information section of your Staftr Profile.
Resume and Certifications
A resume, other certifications, and documentation can be extremely helpful to Staftr staffing partners when they determine who is eligible and a good fit for projects. With Staftr, you can have all these documents ready and available to prospective staffing partners.
To upload your resume (or any other documents), go to the My Profile section of your Staftr account. From there, click the Resume and Certifications button. This will take you to the Profile Documents screen. From there, you can upload a document using the plus (+) icon next to your preferred document and selecting the corresponding document saved on your device. Once selected and uploaded, the document will be available on Staftr for you and your staffing partners.
To edit or delete a document, go to the Resume and Certifications section of your Staftr Profile. From there, click the Edit button next to the document you wish to change. You can then select a different device from your device to upload to your profile. This new document will then be accessible from Staftr.
To delete a document, go to the Resume and Certifications section of your Staftr. From there, click the small “x” icon to the right of the document you wish to delete. This will delete the document from your profile and will no longer be visible on Staftr.
The Staftr Resume Generator lets you create a resume-style document with all your Staftr work experience in your Experience Log. The resume will also contain your bar and education credentials and any other skills and knowledge you have selected in your Staftr profile.
To create a Resume using the Staftr Resume Generator, go to the My Profile section of your Staftr account and click the Resume Generator button. You’ll see the different sections created in the resume document from there. These sections are:
- Contact Information
- Experience
- Education
- Foreign Languages
In the Document Review Experience section, you can enter a customized list of experiences or jobs to include in your generated resume. Simply enter the information for each experience you wish to add.
Once you have finalized your experience selections, click the Generate Resume button at the bottom of the screen. A pop-up will display a link to download the newly generated resume.
Account Changes (Email/Password)
The Account Settings screen provides a location for you to make changes to your Staftr profile related to how you access and interact with the application. This includes changing your email and/or password.
If you need or want to update the email address associated with your Staftr account, you can do this by navigating to the My Profile section and then the Account Settings section.
- In the Account Information section, click/tap the Change Email button.
- Enter a new email address you’d like to use to update your account and click the Verify button.
- An email with a verification code will be sent to the new email inbox. Copy and paste this into the newly displayed Verification Code field and click Update.
Note: Check your spam folder if you do not receive the verification email.
If you need or want to change your Staftr password, you can do this by navigating to the My Profile section of your account and then the Account Settings section.
- In the Change Password section, enter your current password.
- Enter your new password and confirm by typing it again in the Confirm Password field.
- Click/tap the Change Password button
If you forgot your password and can no longer access your Staftr account, you can use the Forgot Your Password link on the Staftr Login Screen.
- Enter your email address in the Email field and click/tap the Forgot Password button.
- An email will be sent to your address with the subject Reset Password. Click the Reset Password button in the email body.
- Enter and confirm the new password and click/tap the Reset button.
